
YUTURI, Magic Refuge of Nature
Welcome ... to the fantastic world of the Amazon Wild Jungle "RESERVA BIOLOGICA YUTURI", a true paradise located at 180 km east from Coca.
The adventure starts with a 45 minutes flight Quito-Coca, crossing above the majestic Andes, flying and enjoying the beauty of the Ecuadorian Jungle. Then a motor canoe trip through the great Napo River, main afluent of the Amazon River till the confluence with the Yuturi River.
The trip from Coca to RESERVA BIOLOGICA YUTURI is made on comfortable covered motor canoes, looking the beautiful landscapes on the shores of the river, the typical houses of the Quechua Indians who still hold their traditions such as that of making the "Chicha de Yuca" and the banana wine.
The installations of the place, surrounded by lagoons, is inside an enchanting landscape with jungle-like environment, in which the guests will enjoy the innumerable nature sounds and the peace the jungle offers.
The
complex is provided with 15 typical "cabañas" among double and triple
with private shower. they are built with typical materials of the area
in order to preserve the landscape armony, furthermore, an excellent food
service.
YUTURI, in Quecha Language, is the name of the big ant called "Conga" which lives in the region.
Between the most fascinating activities we organize the night trips by paddle canoes to see caymans, also the morning walkings to see birds (there are more than 400 species of birds), to fish piranha, to visit the monkey island, etc.
PROGRAM YUTURI: 4 DAYS [Friday to Monday]
Day 1: Departure
from Quito by plane or by bus to Coca town, then by the Napo river to Manduro
river for
approximately 1 hour. By the Manduro river we will arrive to YARINA
LODGE.
Lunch.
4 hours of Spanish lessons
dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: After
breakfast we will walk by the Socali path to see the great variety of flora
and fauna (approx. 3 hours).
Lunch in the lodge.
A visit to the tower of observation from where we can see the great variety
of birds and the fascinating landscape

Day 3: Breakfast.
We will tak and adventure walk by the Capibara path through wild fields
and observing a great variety
of medicinal plants used by Indians of the place, trees used to build houses
and we can see the flora and fauna of
the place.

The native guides will explain you about the usage of the tipical weapons
called Bodoquera or Cervatana.
A fresh bath in the beaches of the Napo river.
A night trip by the river to see caymans ( 1 hour)

A visit to an Indian home to know their custom, way of life and handicrafts.
Return to Coca.
